Energy consumption calculator
Calculate electricity use in kWh from power and operating time, with an optional energy-cost estimate.
Assumes constant power during the hours entered. Does not model on/off cycles, subscriptions, taxes or other charges. This is not an electricity bill forecast. No currency conversion is performed.
Calculations run only in this page’s memory. This tool does not send or save your entries or results.
Enter power greater than zero, daily use from 0 to 24 hours and a number of days greater than zero. The optional price per kWh must be zero or positive.
How it works
How it works
Energy (kWh) = power (W) × hours per day × days ÷ 1000. Optional cost = kWh × price per kWh, in the currency of your price.
Example
100 W × 5 hours/day × 30 days = 15 kWh. At 0.25 per kWh, the energy costs 3.75 in the same currency.
