Image Metadata Cleaner
Create a still image copy without the original metadata. PNG stays PNG; other formats may be re-encoded.

Try a fictional file
Create a re-encoded image copy.
These small practice files are generated locally from fictional data. Download one, then select it yourself in the existing tool. Nothing is selected, run, cleared or replaced automatically. Processing stays in your browser; loading this page and its practice files still requests site assets.
Download practice file (sample.jpg)What to do
Select sample.jpg and create a clean copy. Download and inspect it.
How to read the result
Expect a 320 × 200 still image. Re-encoding can remove embedded metadata but is not a privacy guarantee: visible content remains, and quality or color can change.
Keep your original. Open the downloaded result and check it before sharing. If your browser cannot process this format, use this walkthrough; no result is guaranteed.

Quick answer
Create a new still image from the selected image in a browser canvas, then download it. PNG input stays PNG; other formats request JPEG, though a browser may fall back to a supported format. The canvas copy does not carry over the original metadata.
The page and its assets load from the site; this operation uses your entered values only in this browser and does not send them to a calculation endpoint.
How to use it
Choose an image to make a new canvas copy without its original metadata, then download it. PNG stays PNG; other formats are requested as JPEG. The browser may use a fallback format.
Limits
The canvas exports one still image, so animation is lost. PNG input stays PNG; other formats request JPEG, which cannot preserve transparency and may reduce quality or alter color. Browsers can fall back to another supported format. Check the downloaded copy before sharing it.
Frequently asked questions
What format will I download?
PNG input is exported as PNG. Other formats request JPEG; if the browser does not support that requested type, it can return PNG instead. Check the file extension on the download.
Will animation or transparency stay?
No animation is preserved: the canvas copy is a still image. JPEG does not support transparency, so non-PNG images requested as JPEG may lose it.
Does the clean copy look exactly like the original?
Not always. Re-encoding can change quality or color, and the canvas copy does not retain the original metadata. Reopen it and inspect its appearance, dimensions, format, and metadata before sharing.
Does the tool remove every kind of metadata?
It creates a new canvas image instead of editing every metadata block in the original file. Check the exported file if you need to confirm particular metadata is gone.
